GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. The exam for session 2020-21 will be conducted in Feb 2021. We are providing GATE syllabus 2021 and pattern for each branch individually. To score well in GATE 2021 Examination, one must have a good understanding of the GATE Syllabus defined by organizing institute. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by the most renowned institutes of education in the country. It includes Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The GATE exam paper is strictly based on provided syllabus and topics. The first step of GATE preparation is knowing respective subject’s syllabus and topics, then comes choosing some good GATE Exam preparation reference books and the final revision step includes solving previous year GATE Exam papers to understand the paper pattern and all important topics that one should focus on.

Aspirants must go through the GATE 2021 Syllabus for the GATE 2021 paper that they will be appearing for. In all the papers, there will be a total of 65 questions carrying 100 marks, out of which 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks will be on General Aptitude (GA).
Papers with codes AE, AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PE, PI, TF, and XE, will have the following pattern:
- Engineering Mathematics – around 15% of the total marks
- General Aptitude – around 15% of the total marks.
- The subject of the paper is around 70% of the total marks.
Papers with the codes AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, and XL, will have the following pattern
- General Aptitude – around 15% of the total marks
- The subject of the paper around 85% of the total marks.
